Chance Hunt Death, Obituary – Mr. Chance McArthur Hunt, who resided at 98 Shiloh Road, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 2, 2014 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born on August 1, 1980 in Baltimore, Maryland, and he passed away there. He was the son of Claudie Mack Hunt and Tammy Lamb Chavis, both of whom predeceased him.
Mr. Hunt’s great-grandfather, Wallace Holmes; his grandfather, Horace Mitchell Lamb; his grandmother, Mary L. Morgan; his grandfather, Horace Mitchell Lamb; his aunt and uncle, Early and Ann Locklear; and his cousins, Elizabeth Davis and Jerone Locklear all passed away before he did.
He passed away, but he was survived by his daughter Harley Hunt, who lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; his biological father, Ricky Emanuel, who lives in Baltimore, Maryland; his “dad” Bill Holmes and his wife Renee Holmes, along with their son Garret; his stepfather, Ricky Chavis, who lives in Shannon; and his brother and sister, Nicky Chavis, who live in Shannon and Ricky Chavis, Jr., who live in Lumberton.
He had a quiet demeanor and a charitable heart. His presence will be deeply missed by his great-grandmother Genova Holmes (he was the apple of her eye); grandfather Warren Morgan Chance; uncle and aunt Winston and Arlene Lowery; his aunts, Jan Lamb, Karen and Ronnie Locklear of Lumberton, Jamie Lamb and Paul Locklear of Pembroke, his uncle Horace Mitchell, II and Teresa Oxendine of Panama City Beach, FL, aunt and uncle, Gwen and Junior Scott of Lumberton, these are all who shared in his raising.
In addition, the household includes the (father’s) aunt Jill Lamb and the (mother’s) uncle Kenneth Carter. “We count it as a privilege to have been a part of your journey.” In addition, he is survived by his “Who’s your favorite cousin?” cousins, Nicole Lamb, Chassidy, Travis, Ricky, Desmond and Payton, Jeff, Johnna, Dino, Julina, Zsa Zsa, Nickolas, Tola, Landen, Christina, Latosha, Tanya, Dr. Katera Chavis, Jennifer, and Shawanna.
They would respond with the word “Chance.” John Hunt of Pembroke, his closest friend and brother, was one of his closest companions.
