Charlie Wiseman Obituary, Death – The passing of yet another member of our rugby family has left us in profound mourning, and we share your condolences. Before passing away on Saturday, Charlie Wiseman fought leukemia bravely but for only a short time before succumbing to the disease. Charlie “Maddog” McLaughlin exemplified the ideal of a genuine clubman who had a deep appreciation for the game. Beginning with minis and going through young and Colts, he had been a member of a coaching squad for one age group throughout the length of that group’s existence.
Both of his children, Nic, who plays for the Sapphires, and Ryan, who began playing when he was just six years old, continue to play for their respective teams today. Nic plays for the Sapphires, while Ryan began playing when he was just six years old. Charlie was a devoted supporter of the team and proudly donned the Tigers uniform on multiple occasions, occasionally playing alongside Ryan.
His enthusiasm and love for the girls and ladies rugby were unrivaled, and as a result, those of us who had the good fortune to be able to call him a friend will miss him deeply due to the fact that he has passed away. The loss of him will leave a void in everyone of our hearts. Our hearts go out to his partner Anna, as well as to Ryan and Nic. Please accept our sincere sympathies.
