Chris Mather Obituary, Death – Chris Alan Mather, age 71, passed away on December 22, 2020 in Menifee, Riverside County, California, surrounded by the affection of his immediate family. Chris was born in Portland, which is located in Multnomah County, Oregon, on February 18, 1949. He relocated to Spokane, which is located in Spokane County, Washington, during the same week as his future wife Nancy, who has been with him for more than 53 years. Chris has devoted his entire life to ensuring that his marriage to Nancy and the success of his two sons remain at the forefront of his priorities. Additionally, Chris was a devoted son, brother, and grandfather to his family.
Throughout his whole life, Chris had a strong commitment to helping others and supporting causes that were important to him. He devoted the most of his life to researching the history of his family. He was a devoted supporter of the Democratic Party, having previously held many terms as an official on the precinct committee, and he mobilized communities in support of progressive issues. Chris also gave his time as a Big Brother and was a keen scuba diver. He was so passionate about the sport that the local scuba organization he belonged to elected him president.
Chris was the type of salesman that would talk with clients and focus on finding solutions. He was always proud of the time he spent selling Apple products and spent a significant portion of his sales career bridging the gap between people who required advanced technologies and those who had access to them.
Chris and Nancy finally made their long-held ambition of relocating from Spokane to Southern California a reality in 2007. After working their entire lives, they decided to retire together and spend their time together basking in the sun and playing with their grandson, Carter. Surviving members of his family include his wife, Nancy Brunkow-Mather, who resides in Menifee, California; two sons, Clark Brunkow-Mather of Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, and Graham Mather of Rancho Santa Margarita, Orange County, California; one grandson, Carter Mather; and other relatives in the states of Washington, Oregon, and elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.
