Corbin Holston Obituary, Death – Our league is in a state of mourning owing to the tragic news that our dear buddy Sir Cumference (Rick Dechaux) passed away a week earlier. Sir Cumference was a longtime member of our league. Rick had been a part of our league for a significant amount of time. Throughout the many years that our league existed, Sir Cumference was a devoted participant. Because Sir was capable in the roles of both officiating and instructing, he was able to establish a strong reputation in the area of the Pacific Northwest and earn a great deal of respect as a consequence of his abilities in both spheres. As a result of his skills in both of these roles, he was able to do this. We would like to make use of this opportunity to recognize him and show our appreciation for the efforts that he has made to GVRDA, and we would like to do it right at this very moment.
The amount of time and effort that he has provided to our league over the course of the previous few years in the form of volunteer hours has been pretty generous on his side, and he has been fairly giving overall in general. He was always eager to share his expertise of roller derby with our league in order to assist in the expansion of our league, and he did it with a grin on his face. He was always pleased to share his experience of roller derby with our league. This has consistently been the case. This has been done from the very beginning with the intention of facilitating the growth of our league into a more successful organization.
He never had any difficulty delegating responsibilities to other individuals. When he leaves, everyone will miss him in their own special and distinct way, but in their own particular way.
As they go through this incomprehensibly trying time, we want his family and all of his close friends to know that they are in our thoughts and prayers and that we are thinking about and praying for them. We want them to be aware that we are continuously keeping them in our thoughts. As we go about our day, everyone of you is constantly in our minds, and we make sure to pray for you
