Dianne Kalousek Obituary, Death – Dianne Kalousek has We are saying goodbye to our dear friend and fellow ATDO member of many years, Diane Kalousek, with heavy hearts because we shall miss her very much. Diane passed away on April 17, 2023, while she was a patient at Central DuPage Hospital. Her passing occurred on that day. Our deepest condolences go out to her dedicated husband, Craig Huffman; her daughter, Jenny; and her cherished grandson, Logan, as well as the rest of her family. It will be difficult to find someone who is more dedicated to the democratic cause than they are, but the search will be worthwhile. She was a devoted member of the Addison Township Democrats for many years, and it is possible that she is the individual in the entire history of ATDO who was responsible for recruiting the most precinct committee members.
She was a member of the Addison Township Democrats for many years. Diane exuded an air of magic, and as a result, it was nearly hard to say no to the requests that she made. During election periods, Diane would frequently stay up all night in order to get mailing lists and labels prepared, campaign bags stuffed, and the commitment of new PCs — you name it, she did it. During those times, she would also stay up all night. “Campaign central” for all of the Democratic candidates running for office in Addison was located at Diane’s house. Diane is one of those candidates. It was nothing out of the usual for her to bring large groups of people to her house for the purpose of addressing mail, folding flyers, and packing campaign bags.
There were times when her entire first floor was packed with campaign materials almost all the way up to the ceiling. Those times were rare, however. People who knew Diane and the Democratic causes she supported in DuPage County will always remember the contributions she made to those organizations. They will also remember the fact that she supported those causes. Diane’s unflagging sense of humor and her consistently kind attitude are the aspects of her that we will miss the most after she is gone. Diane was not only a great friend to everyone at ATDO, but she was also a staunch supporter of the organization in its various endeavors. Already, we are acutely aware of her absence from our lives.
