Donald Lange Obituary, Death – On April 12, 2023, at the age of 87, Donald “Don” H. Lange, who resided in Oakfield, passed away and went to his heavenly home. He was the son of Clifford and Viola Abitz Lange and was born in Fond du Lac on July 21, 1935. His parents’ names are Clifford and Viola. Don was christened and later confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oakfield, which he has been an active member of his whole life.
Don has been a member of this congregation since he was a child. He was stationed in Korea for a total of 13 months throughout his two years of service in the United States Army. Don wed Betty Ann Homan on the seventeenth of August in 1957. They were married for 65 years, and during that time, they were given the gift of their daughter Ann. They were blessed with a long and happy marriage.
Don was a member of both the church council and the Avoca Cemetery board of directors for a number of years. He also served during that time. The Borden Company’s Galloway West location in Fond du Lac was his place of employment at the time. Don had a wide variety of interests, including fishing, hunting, gardening, reading, travelling, and more; but, spending time with his family was the one he treasured the most.
Don is survived by his wife, Betty, their daughter Dr. Ann Lange and her husband, Kurt Martin, his sister Shirley Rasmussen, as well as numerous family and friends, including nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives. His parents, two brothers, Clifford Lange Jr. and Harry Lange; his sisters, Alice Pucker, Dolores Reinhold, and Elizabeth Holzman; his brothers-in-law, Gordon Pucker, Harry Reinhold, Herbert Holzman, William “Bill” Schaub, and Dick Rasmussen;
And also, his father and mother-in-law, Henry “Curly” and Annette “Nettie” Homan; all of these people have passed away before him. VISITATION The family will be available to welcome friends on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, which is located at 245 2nd Street in Oakfield, Wisconsin.
