Eric Hollenbeck Obituary – Death, On March 8, 2023, Eric A. Poirier, 33 years old, passed away abruptly at his home from an unanticipated illness. His death was a devastating and sudden event. In addition to being Marissa L. Poirier’s husband, he was the father of Jordan and Zachary Poirier. He was also the spouse of Marissa L. Poirier. His parents, Roland and Elaine (Gaulin), were from Burrillville, but he was born in Woonsocket. Woonsocket was also his mother’s hometown. Eric formerly made Woonsocket his home for 24 years before making the move to Burrillville. Since that time, Eric has made his home in Burrillville.
He graduated from Burrillville High School in the year 2007 and was a part of the school’s class of 2007. Both working on cars and taking care of his family provided Eric with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. Eric was a passionate family man who treasured his children in addition to being a committed follower of ice hockey and, in particular, the Boston Bruins. He was a fanatic about both of these things.
His first job was at BMW of Warwick, where he stayed for seven years and rose through the ranks to become a BMW Master Technician. His most recent position at Tesla Inc. in Warwick, where he has been employed for the past three years, is that of a senior Tesla technician. He has been with the company for the past three years. Eric was an employee who took a significant amount of pride in his work and was known for his reliability and dependability on a constant basis. Everyone who collaborated with him had a deep sense of respect and admiration for him.
His wife, his parents, and his two children, Jordan and Zachary Poirier, who both currently reside in Burrillville, are the only people he leaves behind after his passing. His brother, Jeffrey P. Poirier, and his wife, Alissa, both hail from Moosup, Connecticut, where they currently reside. Leola Gaulin, who resides in Woonsocket, was there to represent his father’s side of the family. She was joined by a number of his other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was the grandson of Rosaire Gaulin in addition to Armand and Rita Poirier, both of whom have now died away. He was also the grandchild of Rosaire Gaulin.
Beginning at five in the evening on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 and continuing until eight in the evening, attendees of Eric’s celebration of life will be held at the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, which is located at 757 Mendon Road in Cumberland. The next part of the celebration will take place on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at eleven in the morning in the chapel of the St. Jean the Baptist Cemetery in Bellingham, Massachusetts, which can be found at 310 Wrentham Road. All of one’s loved ones, both blood and otherwise, are cordially welcomed to attend.
