Fashion Place Mall Shooting – After a shooting at a mall in Utah, which resulted in the injuries of two individuals, the authorities are seeking for multiple suspects. According to ABC News, a representative for the Murray Police Department said that the shooting took place at the Fashion Place mall in the city of Murray.
Det. Kenny Bass of the Murray Police Department stated at a press conference that took place on Sunday afternoon that the victims were a man and a woman in their early 20s. According to Bass, the male patient is in serious condition while the female patient is in critical condition. According to Bass, there were three individuals who ran away from the scene and are currently at large. He went on to say that they were wearing lighter-colored hoodies or sweatshirts with their black jeans. According to Bass, the incident happened outside of the mall close to the entrance on the east side of the property.
After the shooting, the officials reported that the shopping center was cleared out. Customers were seen barricading themselves inside a Dillard’s department store and sheltering in place inside a Sephora makeup store, according to the scanner traffic that was generated by the incident.
People can be seen in a video that was uploaded on social media rushing after they heard many gunshots fired inside the indoor mall. In another video, customers of Dillard’s are seen sleeping on the ground just outside the main entrance to the store. A good Samaritan can be seen wrapping a belt around the female victim’s leg in order to form a tourniquet for her injury. According to Bass, there is now no risk to the general public as a result of the shooting, which may have been tied to gang activity.
