Harold Walter Chamberlain Obituary, Death – Harold Walter Chamberlain, who was 58 years old at the time of his death on April 6, 2023, passed away. Before he was born on October 13, 1964, both of his parents, Richard Lewis Chamberlain and Margaret Louise Jones Chamberlain, had already left this world. He was the son of his late parents. Harold earned his schooling from the Trident School in Florida, where he also competed in the Special Olympics in the sports of swimming and tennis. Harold is a veteran of the Special Olympics. He was a devout supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs—so committed, in fact, that some would argue that he was the most loyal supporter the team has ever had—and he loved hamburgers and Coke so much that he could eat them for every meal if he wanted to. He also adored the Georgia Bulldogs.
Among his surviving family members are his siblings, including Sharon (Robert) Newhart, Ricky (Sherri) Chamberlain, Janice Thornton, Janet (Howard) Bagwell, Kenny Chamberlain, Judy (Jimmy) Denney, Susan (Buddy) Powers, Gale (James) Scarborough, and Tina (Gregory) Justice. In addition, he has a sizable number of nieces and nephews who will miss him. On the afternoon of Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., Rick Lewis will preside over the funeral ceremony that will be held in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, East in Athens. The service is scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
The funeral will end with the interment taking place at the Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder at the conclusion of the service. On the evening prior, on Monday, the family will have a get-together for guests beginning at six in the evening and continuing until eight in the evening. The obligation of making the essential arrangements has been delegated to the Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, which is situated in the East End of Athens. www.lordandstephens.com.
