Isle of Palms Shooting, On Friday evening, there was a shooting on the Isle of Palms, and the police said that four people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment after being injured by gunfire. Sgt. Matt Storen of the Isle of Palms Police Department has said unequivocally that a shot was fired from behind Sea Cabins. This information has been made public. The Mayor of Isle of Palms, Phillip Pounds, has stated that there is now one individual being held in custody.
According to the Isle of Palms Police Department, many people have been taken into custody while investigators attempt to determine whether or not they were engaged in the incident in any manner. The investigation is ongoing.
The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) received four patients whose injuries did not appear to be life-threatening and were taken there by the Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office and the Summerville Police Department are both providing support to the Isle of Palms Police Department at this time.
