James Pierce Obituary, Death – James Pierce Died without suffering on February 26, 2023, at the age of 86. His parents, James and Carmella, his brother Ronald, and his sister Joan (James) Krause all preceded him in death. He was married to Elizabeth “Betty” for 62 years before she passed away. He is survived by his children Terry (Tim) Magee, Mary (Rodney Hoover) Pierce, Jim (Maura) Pierce, Eileen (David) Wurman, David (Anne) Pierce, Dan (Penny) Pierce; grandchildren Brian (Corey), Meaghan (Greg), Sean (Kelsey), Bridgette (Elliot), Katy (Steven), Kelly,
Daniel, Tiffanie (Evan), Ryan (Lexie), Paige, Alex, Sydney; great-grandchildren Anna, Callan & Baby Baxter; numerous step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Jim was devoted to his family and took great joy in his roles as a grandfather (also known as “Papa”) and great grandfather. He received his diploma from Aquinas Institute in 1954 and has been employed with AT&T for more than 35 years. Jim was a community leader who was involved in a number of organizations, including the AT&T Pioneer Club, the St. John the Evangelist Men’s Club, and the Cardinal Mooney Men’s Club.
Visitors are welcome to stop by the Farrell-Ryan Funeral and Cremation Services located at 777 Long Pond Road on Thursday, March 2 from 4-6 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church on Friday, March 3 at 10:30am. The church is located at 2400 West Ridge Rd. Holy Sepulchre Cemetery was chosen for the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be donated to the Aquinas Institute or St. John the Evangelist Church.
