Janet Schwefel Obituary, Death – Janet Mae Schwefel, who was 90 years old and from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of Frederick and Gertrude (Zickau) Glasser and was born on August 14, 1932 in Fond du Lac. Her mother’s maiden name was Zickau. Janet received her elementary education at St. Peter’s School and her secondary education from Winnebago Lutheran Academy.
They tied the knot at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on March 27, 1954. Jean D. Schwefel was her spouse. He passed away on August 3, 2012, two days before she did. Farming was Janet’s primary occupation until 1972, when she was succeeded by Jean. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the nursery at St. Agnes Hospital, where she was responsible for the care of a large number of infants.
After that, she found work as an assistant at a physical therapy clinic, and after that, she found work as a patient sitter. Janet enjoyed flowers, gardening, walking, and being outside. In addition to that, she took pleasure in helping her son sell organic fruit at the local farmer’s market. She loved going to all of her favourite places, including Lakeside Park. She was an excellent cook who created the most delicious apple pies, muffins, and rolls. Janet’s biggest enjoyments were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by four children, Gary (Carol) Schwefel, David (Mylene) Schwefel, Sandra (Guy) Werner, and Daniel (Amy) Schwefel; ten grandchildren, Thomas (Holly) Schwefel, Tyler (Courtney) Schwefel, Jamie (Cody) Schoepke, Julie (Mike) Philippi, Eric Schwefel, Christine (Brian) Werner, Carl Werner, Jacob (special friend, Jackie and her daughter Mikiya) Schwefel, Jordan (Daniel) Lightle, and Jillian Schwefel; eleven great grandchildren, Kylie, Olivia, Madeline, Evelyn, B Her parents, Frederick
Also, Gertrude, as well as her husband, Jean, as well as her father and mother-in-law, William and Sylvia (Lerch) Schwefel, as well as her brother and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Barbara) Schwefel and Pat Schwefel, all passed away before her. Visitation will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac on both Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and then again on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023.
