Jasper Dixon Obituary, Death – Sunday at three o’clock in the afternoon at the Chapel of the Norton Funeral Home. The services will be presided over by Dr. Ernest Winburn and Rev. Paul Coward. Magnolia Cemetery will be the location of the interment. The funeral home will open its doors for visitation one hour before the start of the service.
Mr. Jack is the son of the late Ervin Dixon and Grace Caulder Dixon, and he was born and raised in Hartsville. He retired from Sonoco Products Company after 35 years of work and was a member of the Old Timers Club in addition to being a participant in the Emmanuel Baptist Church community. He was a dedicated member of the South Carolina National Guard in addition to being an enthusiastic fan of the Gamecocks. Jack was a loyal and loving spouse, father, and grandfather to his grandchildren.
He was also known as Pa. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School, where he was a member of the football team. In his free time, he enjoyed going to the beach and camping there. Surviving members of his family include his devoted wife, Sylvia Livingston Dixon, of Hartsville; daughters Robin Dixon (David) Loman and Lori Dixon McKay, both of Columbia; a son, Jack (Rhonda) Dixon, Jr., of Hartsville; six grandchildren, Brandon Hawkins, Tradd (Taylor) Loman, Caley Hawkins, Tristan Dixon, Garrett Loman and Zachary Dixon; a brother, Heyward Dixon (Maxine
