Jeffrey Pleasant Obituary, Death – A man was killed early Saturday morning in west Birmingham after he got into a dispute at a small party. At 12:50 in the AM, officers from the West Precinct were called to respond to a call about a person who had been shot at a residence located in the Pratt neighborhood on the 600 block of Carline Avenue.
As soon as the police arrived on the scene and entered the house, they discovered an adult guy inside who was unresponsive. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service determined that he had already passed away at the scene. Officer Truman Fitzgerald stated that investigators believe an argument between the victim and the unidentified suspect led to the gunshot that resulted in the victim’s death.
The majority of those attending the party departed the location before the cops arrived. Jeffrey Pleasant was the name given to the deceased by the police. He was forty years old and made his home in Birmingham. Fitzgerald stated that it was evident that at least some of the people present should be able to identify the gunman, and he urged those people to phone Crime Stoppers, which may be done in secret.
According to what he claimed, “this is an easy opportunity to receive a cash reward.” The murder of Pleasant in Birmingham is the city’s 30th for this year. Two of those have been found to be acceptable under the circumstances and are not considered to be illegal. There have been a total of 38 homicides across all of Jefferson County, including 30 in the city of Birmingham.
