Larry Williams Obituary, Death – Larry A. Williams, who resided in Swartz Creek and was 70 years old, passed away on the 9th of January, 2023. A private funeral mass was held for the family after the person’s passing. They have asked that you continue to keep them in your prayers and thoughts as they go through this difficult time. Larry Williams was born on November 19, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Russell Williams and Mary Williams.
Both of his parents have since passed away. After completing his high school education in 1971 at South Western High School, he went on to complete his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan and then his master’s degree in education at Marygrove College. Between the years 1971 and 1973, Larry was a member of the United States National Guard.
On April 26, 2011, he tied the knot with Linda. Before taking his retirement in 2011, Larry served the Genesee Intermediate School District as an employee for more than thirty-five years. Teaching students with special needs brought him a great deal of happiness and fulfillment. His interest in music spanned his entire life, and he taught himself to play multiple instruments on his own, including the keyboard, guitar, and harmonica.
Larry was a huge sports fan. He was an avid Michigan supporter and also enjoyed playing golf and hockey in his spare time. Together, he and Linda went on a lot of vacations, but his favorites were the ones they took to Key West, Yellowstone, Gettysburg, South Dakota, and New Mexico. He is survived by his wife, Linda;
Also, his children, Patrick (Jennifer) Williams, Kelly (finance Joe) Williams, Candice Schmunk, Amber Schmunk and Miranda (Jason) Croucher; thirteen grandchildren, Briana, Dylan, Aiden, Cameron, Riley, Vinny, Cooper, Vito, Angelo, Vernon, Madison, Roman, Honor, Tony, and Jameson; great-grandson, Eric and three brothers, Phil (Debbie) Williams, Brad (Kathy) Williams and Russell (Sonja) Williams.
