Lesley Van-Ness Death, Obituary – who was 45 years old and from Sioux City, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2006, in a hospital in Sioux City. The seventh of February, 1961 found Lesley being welcomed into the world in Akron, Iowa. His parents were Duane and Dorothy (Raby) Dewey. At the time, he was serving in the capacity of chief cook at the Gospel Mission in Sioux City. He enjoyed cooking, going to the movies, and cars of every description. He attended the Sioux City Gospel Mission on a regular basis as a member.
Surviving family members include a daughter, Johnell Collins; two sons, Lenny Tucker and Leslie Tucker and his wife, Katie, all of Sioux City; Leslie’s brother, Jerry Dewey, of Westfield, Iowa; and Denny Dewey, of Georgia; and eleven grandchildren, Dayson, Tyler, Dalton, Ian, Tiana, Kayla, Sabrina, Taylor, Haley, Mckenzie, and Landon.
His mother and father, as well as his sister Rita Faust, passed away before he did.
