Lewis Clinton Peacock, Jr Obituary, Death – As the Peacock family deals with the loss of their father, stepfather, grandfather, brother, and uncle, we ask that you pray with us for them as we raise them up in our thoughts and prayers. At his residence on Monday afternoon, April 10, 2023, Mr. Lewis Clinton “Clint” Peacock, Jr., 48, who was a resident of Mershon, passed away. He was born in Waycross, Georgia on March 15, 1975, and had spent his whole life in Pierce County before coming to Bacon County two years ago. His birthday is March 15. Clint received his diploma from Pierce County High School in the year 1993. At Southern Nuclear’s Plant Hatch, where he worked as a refueling technician and nuclear mechanic, he held employment with the company. He enjoyed mowing the grass, fishing, cooking, and hunting in his spare time. Clint attended services at the Emmanuel Baptist Church regularly.
He was the son of Lewis Clinton “L.C.” and Jeanne Diane Gilbert Peacock, Sr., who both passed away before him. Maggie Raine Peacock of Mershon, his daughter; Trey and Michaela Peacock of Blackshear, his son and daughter-in-law; Turner Bagley and Lana Turner of Mershon, his step-son and his mother; his sister Tish Peacock of Jesup; his brother and sister-in-law Kevin and Keisha Peacock of Baxley; Sherri (Brandon) Bennett of Mershon, the mother of his children; his granddaughter Alivia Funeral services for Clint will be place at the Beulah Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon, April 16, 2023, at three o’clock in the afternoon.
One hour before to the start of the service, the family will host a gathering for guests at the church. The Beulah Cemetery is going to be used for the interment.
