Lillian Skippers Obituary, Death – Lillian V. Skipper, the 81-year-old wife of Jack W. Skipper, who resided on Sweet Street, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2007, at Conway Medical Center. Lillian V. Skipper was married to Jack W. Skipper. Mrs. Skipper was born at Galivants Ferry, and her parents, Jesse James and Lilly Floyd James, who have both since died away, raised her there. Mrs. Skipper is now married to Mr. Skipper.
Before she decided to retire, she put in a combined total of 25 years of service at Conway Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Skipper worked as a private duty nurse in the area surrounding Conway during the years that followed her retirement from the nursing profession. Her paternal and paternal grandparents, three brothers, and three sisters all before her in death.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by three sons and their wives: Jack Timothy Skipper of Rock Hill, Keith B. Skipper and his wife Wendy of Conway, and Reddick A. Skipper of Conway. She also leaves behind her granddaughter Christina Harmon, as well as her grandchildren Stanton Skipper, Ellen Skipper, Claire Skipper, and Erica Skipper. On March 1, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., there will be a graveside service held at the Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Reverend Levon Hucks will serve as the officiant for this event.
