Maribeth Buechel Obituary, Death – The passing of Maribeth Buechel was announced yesterday, and it is with a heavy heart that I break the news to you. I ask that you accept my sympathies for your loss. My girlfriend’s parents have asked me to help get the word out about something. Those of you who followed my journey on my motorcycle from Iowa to California to Florida in 2015 are aware that my initial plan was to accomplish the trip on my alone. However, when Maribeth learned about my plans, she moved her bike from Alaska to San Diego and rode with me all the way across the United States, beginning in California and ending in Florida, so that she could be closer to her folks.
In the year 2017, I was living in Oregon when I received the news that both of my parents had been injured in a crash that occurred in Sturgis while they were riding their motorcycles there. It was a complete and utter coincidence that Maribeth showed up to the rally that year. I flew into Rapid City, where she was waiting for me, and she assisted me in retrieving the Harley-Davidson motorcycle that belonged to my father from the impound lot. Then, in order to present it to my parents in Iowa, she rode it all the way back to Iowa. She and I were channeling our inner Thelma and Louise by cruising around on our motorcycles. I am completely at a loss for words at this juncture.
They have a strong suspicion that the person experienced an unexpected heart attack; nevertheless, they are waiting for the official autopsy report before making any more determinations. They have the sense that the funeral will be held in Wisconsin or Alaska, but the particulars have not been figured out yet. If I learn something new, you can count on me to pass it along to you as soon as I can. My dear Maribeth, you are the one who has captured my heart. I am able to feel that you are a member of my spiritual support squad, and you can rest assured that you will accompany me on all of my journeys from now on.
