Michael Edward Shave Obituary, Death – On April 14, 2023, at the age of 53, Michael E. Shave Jr., who resided in Jackson, passed away unexpectedly. He was referred to by a number of names, including Mike, Mickey, Michael, and his personal favorite, Daddy. Although he was born in Neptune, he spent his childhood in Lakewood, where he went to Holy Family School and ultimately earned his high school diploma from Lakewood High School in 1987. Since he was 17 years old, he has been employed as a carpenter, and for the past 20 years, he has been working for Epic Builders in Piscataway.
He has been a member of the Carpenters Union Local #255 in Hammonton for a significant amount of time. He was noted for his unparalleled work ethic, enjoyed fishing in salt water, and was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. He possessed a personality that was larger than life, complete with a booming laugh and the ability to tell animated stories. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kerri Ann Shave, as well as two daughters, Nicole and Samantha Shave, who were everything to him. Kerri Ann Shave is his sole survivor. He is survived by his grandmother Adele, his brother Christopher Shave and wife Christine, his sister Marisa Potts and husband Donald, as well as a huge extended family consisting of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, and innumerable friends.
His parents are Michael E. Shave, Sr. and Virginia. His brother is Christopher Shave. Oliverie Funeral Home, located at 125 South Cooks Bridge Road in Jackson, will be open for visitation on Tuesday from 4 to 8 o’clock in the evening. The funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church in Freehold, and the interment will take place in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold immediately after the service.
