Mick Ridgeway Obituary, Death – On June 27, 2022, Michael William Boone Ridgway, age 30 and a resident of Austin, Texas, passed away. Although he was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 10, 1991 to parents John and Debbie Ridgway, he spent his childhood in The Woodlands, Texas. He was an undergraduate student at the University of Texas in Austin. He fulfilled all of the criteria, including the coursework and the practicum, to earn his Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) certification. Michael was a gifted and imaginative musician, guitarist, and songwriter. He played the guitar.
Although Michael struggled with substance abuse and mental illness beginning at the age of 14, those conditions did not define who he was or who he was when he was clean and sober. As a kid, Michael was known for his quick wit, friendly demeanor, and curious nature. He was successful in school, had a lot of friends, and enjoyed sports like football and baseball. At one time in his life, Michael had maintained his abstinence from alcohol for a period of three years. He was an interesting and selfless person who was dedicated to the AA idea of working with others while he was sober and actively working his program. People who have benefited from Michael’s assistance have praised him for his intelligence, intuition, and charisma, and they say that he is a compassionate person.
Michael is survived by his daughter Everly Lynn Ridgway and her mother Lindsey Rosser, his daughter’s grandfather Becky Ridgway, his parents John and Debbie Ridgway, his brothers Robert McDaniel (and his wife Amy) and Chris Ridgway (and his wife Chinah), his nieces Alexis and Cameron McDaniel, and his nephew Jackson Craig. Michael also leaves behind his grandmother Becky Ridgway. On Wednesday, July 13, at 10:00 AM, there will be a funeral service and the deceased will be laid to rest at Klein Memorial Park Chapel and Cemetery located at 9714 FM 2920 Tomball, Texas 77375.
