Monte Jones Death, Obituary – This afternoon I found out that Monte Jones, a rodeo friend of mine who had a very special place in my heart, had passed away. Monte was really dear to me. Because there are not enough resources at my disposal, the importance of Monte’s friendship to me cannot be fully conveyed to another person via the use of words alone. We made it a tradition to meet together at the Top Hands Horse Show at the beginning of each new rodeo season so that we could get our picture taken together.
After that, whenever we saw one another at the Show, whether it was in the downtown procession or elsewhere, we made sure to take pictures of one another. This occurred whether we were in the downtown procession or elsewhere. My sincere sympathies go out to his family, as well as to my friends on the Speakers Committee (Houston Livestock Show and RodeoTM) who knew Monte, as well as to the members of the Special Children’s and Parade committees, and to everyone else who was blessed by his amazing personality.
I will miss Monte very much. We shall miss having him around. Because you won’t be attending the Rodeo in 2024, many of your friends and I are going to miss seeing you there, and the experience as a whole is going to be altered as a direct consequence of this.
