Norman Carmichael Obituary, Death – Crestwood Nursing Home resident, age 90, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the facility. She had been married to the late Charles L. Gervais before he passed away. She was the daughter of Thomas Burns, who passed away, and Rose (Mc Kenna), who also passed away. She was born in Barrington. For the past 19 years, Doris has been serving as the Head Cook for the Barrington School Lunch Program.
She had spent the previous quarter of a century in Barrington. Additionally, she called Warren home. Following her retirement, she split her time between Mashpee, Massachusetts, and Port St. Lucie, Florida. She had previously called East Bay Manor her home before moving to Crestwood. She has one daughter, Susan Wills, who lives in Warren, and two sons, Brian Gervais of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and Glenn Gervais of Swansea, Massachusetts. She has a total of 8 great grandchildren in addition to 5 grandchildren. She was also the sister of Thomas, John, and William Burns, all of whom have now passed away.
Her funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 9 am at WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, which is located at 615 Main Street in Warren. Following the celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial, which will begin at 10 am at St. Mary of the Bay Church, located at 645 Main Street in Warren, the interment will take place in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery.
