Northeast Portland Shooting – Two people were killed in a shooting that took place in Northeast Portland on Wednesday night, according to the Portland Police Bureau. The identities of the victims, Deja Willingham, 27, and Marcel Bryant, 30, were revealed by the police on Friday. At around 9:12 p.m., police were initially dispatched to the 2000 block of Northeast Lombard Street in response to reports of a shooting. When the police arrived, they discovered a woman who had already passed away.
According to the police, investigators and forensic specialists were examining the site when they discovered the body of a second person nearby. This individual was a male. According to PPB, the findings of the medical examiner indicate that both victims died as a consequence of “homicide by gunshot wounds.”
After Bryant passed away, his family has stated that they do not have the financial means to pay for his funeral, so a GoFundMe campaign has been started to assist them with the expenses associated with it.
