Paddy O’Brien Obituary, Death – Paddy O’Brien, a much-loved member of the team who passed away earlier today, did so in a peaceful manner, and it is with the utmost regret that I have to inform you of his death. I hope you will accept my condolences. Everyone will grieve his passing in their own unique ways. Paddy started working for the RPSI in 1976, when he was already a member of the RPSI Operations in Dublin and Mullingar. He was the first person to hold that position in the organization. As a result of the fact that Paddy was such a wonderful person, he was always able to find an answer to every question that was posed to him and solve any issue that arose.
There was nothing that he was unable to accomplish in this life. Nothing. The sad and unpleasant memories that are brought back to me by the news of Paddy O’Brien’s passing are brought on by the recent news of his passing. Paddy was a significant figure in the history of the preservation of railways on this island, and as a result, the organization owes him a large amount of financial responsibility. In addition to possessing a demeanor that was charming, he was the epitome of what it means to be an authentic gentleman. While I was working for the RPSI in Mullingar, I spent some time in his company. As a result, some of my favorite and funniest recollections are connected to that time. Those are the days that will be ingrained in my memory forever. He never passed up a chance to enjoy some amusement for himself. I pray to God that he may always be at peace, both in this life and the next.
Paddy should be thanked by the vast majority of us for igniting our interest in the field of railroad preservation. Paddy was the one who first piqued our interest, and we followed his lead. Because of this, we owe him a significant amount of gratitude and admiration for all that he has done for us. Over the course of my life, I have accumulated a large deal of pleasurable memories of the exciting moments that I have spent with him and that I have shared with other people. Some of these memories are of our time spent together, while others are of times spent with other people. I wish and pray that he would be at peace for the entirety of eternity when he has passed away.
