Penn Hazuda Obituary, Death – On April 7, a young child who had been diagnosed with cancer and was only five years old went very suddenly at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Penn Hazuda, a resident of Maryville, was told that she had relapsed cases of high-risk B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. A notice from a fundraiser that was held to support his family stated that it is likely that he passed away as a result of an infection. The flyer for the event states, “They were 80% sure he was in remission.” “We weren’t expecting this to take place.” His parents reported that he began receiving chemotherapy not long after the diagnosis, which occurred when he was three years old. On January 20, 2023, he experienced a relapse for the third time.
Penn’s parents, Eric and Jessica Hazuda, have stated that when he was younger, he possessed a lot of energy and enjoyed being in the water. He used to enjoy taking extended baths and doing everything that involved being near or on water. While lying in bed at the hospital, Penn started playing a lot of online Super Mario Brothers. Because of this, he started to fantasize about going to Super Mario World. His parents shared the story of his ambition with the charitable organization known as Campaign One At A Time.
The charitable group has begun soliciting donations in order to pay for a trip for him and his family to Universal Studios in order for them to check out the brand-new Super Nintendo World facility there. They are currently trying to raise money to help sustain the family.
According to the charitable organization, “He’s never going to be able to see the Mario movie, and he won’t be able to go on the trip that we fundraise for,” both of these things will be impossible for him to do. They plan to do something special in his honor someday.
They stated that the family will receive each and every penny that was received through the event.
