Peter DiSalvo Death, Obituary – We are extremely sorry to tell you of the demise of Peter DiSalvo, who was an Active Life Member and served on the board of directors. His passing has left us with a profound sense of loss. The times of the services are provided in the following table. When Pete became a member of the Gates Volunteer Ambulance 44 years ago, he first began to provide service to the city of Gates and the areas that are located in close proximity to Gates. During his tenure at Gates Ambulance, he was promoted to a number of different leadership roles within the organization. There is always a pleasant smile and sentence to relay to the next person.
Pete, we are going to take over the watch from here on out, so you can finally kick back and rest, my friend. You will be remembered with fondness by many people as you soar on the wings of angels.On April 7, 2023, after a brief struggle with illness, while he was joined by his family and his close friend, Bill Conley, he passed away. Bill Conley was also present. Josephine DiSalvo, Angelo DiSalvo’s daughter, gave birth to her son on November 18, 1946. Josephine DiSalvo. He is survived by his wife, Jackie DiSalvo; son, Daniel (Jill) DiSalvo & daughter Gina (Eric) Laughlin; his beloved granddaughters Amellia DiSalvo and Lilly Rozzi; sister Marilyn (Lou) Bivone; sisters-in-law Pam Morrill, Meg (Marty) Barber, and Liz Burton;
nephews Joe (Antonella) Bivone & Lou (Nikki) Bivone; niece Michelle (Eric) Henn, and many more loving family and friends. Peter was a former manager for the United States Postal Service and had previously worked as a physician for the military. Prior to that, he had served in the military. His first family was the one he had at home, but he discovered a second one at Gates Volunteer Ambulance, where he has been a member for more than forty years and has served in various capacities.
On Friday, April 14, at one o’clock in the afternoon, the funeral service for him will be place at Our Lady Queen of Peace, which can be found at 601 Edgewood Avenue in Rochester, New York 14618. Acquaintances are cordially invited to take part. The funeral and burial will be held in privacy. Caring deeds are the most fitting way to honor Peter’s memory. In lieu of sending flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in the name of the dead person to the Gates Volunteer Ambulance or to any other charity of your choosing.
