Phillip Quillen Obituary, Death – Phillip Ray “Vern” Quillen, who resided in Columbus, Kentucky and was 65 years old at the time of his death, passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The day of his birth, February 2nd, 1958, was spent in the city of Clinton, which is found in the state of Kentucky. Phillip Earnest Quillen was born there. Both of his parents, Earnest Quillen and Georgia Frizzell Quillen, have passed away while he was still a little boy. He carried out his responsibilities in a manner that was harmonious with the tenets of the Christian faith. The vast majority of Phillip’s working life was spent in the maintenance department of the Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
This was where he spent the majority of his time. He enjoyed activities such as hunting and fishing in the wide outdoors in addition to the time he spent working in the kitchen, the garden, and preserving vegetables in jars. Phillip was a prominent animal rights activist, and he shared an exceptionally close bond with his Labrador, whose name was “Sadie.” Phillip’s love for Sadie occupied a very unique and significant spot in his heart. He will be remembered as someone who, on a daily basis, exerted a tremendous amount of effort and as someone who had a profound affection for his family and friends. Charles Stephen, of Akron, Ohio; one sister, Phyllis Quillen Ryan (and her husband Patrick), of Douglas, Georgia; two grandchildren, Taylissa Sims (and her husband Elijah), and Christian Comer; and four great grandchildren, Elijah Sims, Jr., Wesley Sims, Mikko Sims, and Serena Sims. Because he was born after his parents had already passed away in this incarnation, he did not get the chance to know them. On Monday, April 17, 2023, at one o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service will be performed at the gravestone in Burkley Cemetery in Burkley, Kentucky. The cemetery is located in Burkley, Kentucky. There has been no decision made regarding the timing or date of the memorial service. On Monday, April 17, 2023, visitation will begin at 10:30 in the morning and continue all the way until 12:30 in the afternoon at the Arlington location of the Milner & Orr Funeral Home
