Raymond Scott Obituary, Death – Scott Raymond Dozier Innocent, Raymond Sawada, Scott Raymond, The Ely State Prison, located in Nevada, United States, on January 5, 2019. Scott Raymond Dozier was an American killer who was sentenced to death row in Nevada[1] for the murder of 22-year-old Jeremiah Miller in 2002. Miller was one of Dozier’s drug accomplices at the time of the killing. Dozier passed away on January 5, 2019. He would have been the first convict killed by the state of Nevada in more than a decade, but he took his own life in prison before this could take place following a protracted fight to carry out the execution of his death sentence by the state.
He was sentenced to death for the murder of a police officer. The 20th of November, 1970 saw Scott Dozier being brought into the world in Boulder City, Nevada. Along the American West, his father worked for the federal government on various water projects, and he was one of three children. In 1989, he received his diploma from high school. Dozier enrolled in the Army on November 16, 1990, and he served there until August 10, 1992, when he was honorably discharged. On New Year’s Day in 1991, he wed Angela Drake, a girl he’d been seeing since they were in high school; the couple’s first child, Ashton, was born the following year, in 1993.
The marriage between the two people did not survive. By the time he was in his mid-20s, he was deriving the majority of his money from the manufacture and selling of methamphetamine. During this time, he would go back and forth between Nevada and Arizona, the two states in which he had previously been convicted of murder. In the months leading up to the time before he was due to be executed, Dozier had expressed how much he enjoyed “living outside the law.” Dozier had been placed on suicide watch for a few months before to his death.
His attorneys claim that he suffered a deterioration in his mental condition as a result of being deprived of his personal things and communication with the outside world. Prison authorities discovered Dozier’s body on January 5, 2019, in his death row cell at the Ely State Prison in Ely, Nevada. They determined that he had committed himself by hanging himself with a bed sheet that was fastened to an air vent in the cell. At 16:35, it was determined that he had passed away. When he passed away, Dozier had lived a full life and had reached the age of 48.
