Robert Cutting Obituary, Death – Our hearts are broken for the loss that the Cutting family has suffered with the passing of Robert “Bob” Cutting. He will be sorely missed by everyone. Please be assured that you are in each of our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. On Monday, Bob departed our world due to the fact that he had gone away. Bob has held the position of chairman of the ORHS Gift Shop throughout the whole of his work there, which spans more than four decades, and has spent that entire time serving in that capacity. He operated it at the depot and on all of our excursions, either in ORHS Car 105 or in any other railroad car that we were able to borrow in the early days of our train adventures.
In the early days of our train journeys, we were only able to borrow cars from other railroad companies. In the beginning of our train travels, we were only able to use cars that belonged to other railroad firms that we had borrowed from. When we first started, our only choice was to borrow vehicles from other railroad companies whenever we had a demand for them. In addition to his wife, Kaye, everyone else in his family, including him, his daughters, and his granddaughter, contributed to the operation of the family business. He was the head of the family. Every single volunteer who had the privilege of knowing Bob and who is mourning his passing will do so in their own one-of-a-kind way because of the loss of such a special person.
Your one-of-a-kind point of view as well as the stories that you have told will be documented and saved in the records of the ORHS so that they can be accessed at any time. As I go about my day today, I will remember you and your family in prayer and ask that God will continue to bless you all.He was a dependable member of the community who offered his assistance at any time it was requested. He was never absent from the scene. I am grieved by the fact that all of those people who knew and cared for him will suffer a loss as a direct result of this.
