My dearest Robert left this world on April 7th, 2023, and it is with the utmost sorrow that I must share this news with the rest of you. The 7th of April 2023 was the date that he passed away.
One of his most enduring pleasures and interests to this day is going hiking in Michigan, which is where he got his start. Over the course of the previous two years, his health problems have worsened to the point that they are insurmountable, and he is no longer able to put up much of a battle against them. Rob had some of the most memorable moments of his life as a direct result of his interactions with all of you, including on your through treks, as well as in your postings, emails, and texts. I’m grateful that you made it possible.
It is because of all of you that he is able to retain his level of enthusiasm, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you.
