He was a much-loved and highly respected part of their family, and he was always there for them when they were in need. He passed away recently. Troy was a huge contribution to the success of our basketball team over all four years of his high school career, during which he was an integral member of our squad. The year 2021 marked the year that he graduated from our high school, the same year that the team on which he played and was a member won the state championship.
He obtained his diploma in that year. Because of the news of his loss earlier today, our hearts are heavy, but he will be remembered for all eternity for his exceptional personality and his wonderful smile. The sad news of his passing that we received earlier today has left us feeling a deep sense of loss. This morning saw the beginning of his slipping away. Troy was a much-loved son, brother, friend, and teammate to a large number of people, and he will be remembered for all time as a member of the Anniston High School Basketball Family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The passing of Troy occurred on February 1, 2019.
Both his name and his legacy will live on for all of time. No matter how much time has passed since the last time that we were in each other’s company or how long it has been since we were together, you will be profoundly missed, and the times that we spent together will always hold a specific place in my heart. This is true notwithstanding the length of time that has passed since the last time we were all together. We will never forget Troy, and now that your ordeal is done, we pray that you have been able to find some form of solace and that you can finally be at peace. We will never forget Troy.
