The Grand Forks Police Department was able to determine the identity of the man whose body was discovered on October 26. Jennifer Jean Harrison, 53 years old, was determined to be the woman found inside and she was identified as being Tyler Harrison’s mother. Jennifer Harrison and Tyler Harrison were cohabitating at the property in Grand Forks where the home was located.
The initial press release stated that the GFPD was called to the residence located on the 300 block of Wren Drive after receiving a complaint that shots had been fired from the location. It was discovered that a man had been shot and killed in the driveway, and that a lady had been found inside the house “with an obvious gunshot wound.”
According to an amended press release issued by the GFPD, Tyler Christopher Harrison, age 21, has been determined to be the individual who passed away. Grand Forks resident Tyler Harrison “had what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” and he was already deceased when the Grand Forks Police Department arrived.
According to the announcement, Jennifer Harrison is still being cared for at Altru, and it is unknown what her current health is. A domestic violence investigation is being conducted as a result of the gunshot because a firearm was involved. According to the announcement, there are no other possible suspects or persons of interest at this time.
According to Lieutenant Andrew Stein of the GFPD, the Harrison residence has not been the subject of any previous calls to the police, and the area in general is still in its infancy. The investigation has not been closed and is continuing. The investigators in this case are still trying to determine what precipitated the argument.
