Vincent Angelico Obituary, Death – On Friday, April 7, 2023, Vincent J. “Jim” Angelico, Jr. died away in a calm and serene manner while surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (Petrone) Angelico, two sons: Robert J. Angelico, of Shrewsbury, and Joseph A. Angelico and his wife Judy, of Auburn; a daughter: Karolyn Choate, of North Grafton; three grandsons:
Ryan Angelico, Jack Choate, and Nicklaus Choate; and a sister: Linda Sweet, of Holden. He was married to Margaret (Petrone) Angelico. Additionally, he left behind his brother’s wife, Jane Petrone, who resides in Shrewsbury. Carol Draleaus, one of his sisters, passed away before him. Jim Angelico, whose parents were Vincent J. and Dorothy (Bjorkman) Angelico, Sr., entered the world on May 28, 1942 in Worcester. He received his diploma from Shrewsbury High School in the year 1960.
Jim worked at Ace Auto Body in Worcester when he was in high school and after he graduated from high school. He continued working there until 1964, when he joined the United States Coast Guard and served on the CG Cutter Humboldt. After finishing his military duty, he went back to work at Ace Auto Body. Over time, he worked his way up to become the company’s owner and operator, and he remained in those roles until his retirement from the Grafton Police Department in 2011.
For a number of years, he served in the role of president of the Massachusetts Auto Rebuilders Association. Jim had been a member of Saint Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury for a very long time. In addition, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post #201 for many years. He had a lot of fun both playing and watching baseball, especially with his children and grandkids. He was a professional snowmobile racer and enjoyed the sport immensely.
