Wayne Oglesbee Obituary, Death – On April 13, Wayne Mathis Oglesbee passed away, and he is now with his Heavenly Father. Wayne Mathis Oglesbee was 78 years old. Monroe, Louisiana is where Wayne Mathis Oglesbee started his life. It happened while he was at home, in the presence of the people he cared about the most in the world. It was Wayne’s lifelong goal to help others, and he was able to accomplish this goal by serving as the facilities manager at Cross Church Springdale for the better part of 37 years. Wayne’s motivation was to be of service. He enjoyed making things out of wood, going on adventures to see the wonders that God had created, spending time with his family, going to his grandson’s baseball games, having fun with his great grandchildren, preparing meals for his friends and family, and putting a smile on the faces of those around him. He was a man who found joy in doing all of these things.
He is only going to take his wife of 59 years, Donna, with him when he leaves; she is the only person in his life. Pat, who is married to Lantis, is also the sister-in-law of Lantis’s other brother. Sister Brenda Amons and husband Gene. Their three children, all of whom were named after one of their parents, are named Renee Jones and her husband Brian, Kim Calloway, and Michael Oglesbee. His family is made up of three generations, thus there are three grandchildren in total.
